A letter to my Husband

Dear Bubba,

You're probably reading this with red cheeks right now because I posted something publicly about YOU (lol - sorry). But I really wanted to take a moment to let you know how much I love you and appreciate you. I know my words don't compare to my actions but for now, I wanted to express myself this way.

Babe, I just want to tell you Thank You...

Thank you for being such a great husband...
The way you care for me, I have never been cared for before. You do your best to protect me in every aspect: emotionally, physically, psychologically. You give me the best advice you can give me when my emotions are going wild and you pray for me. No one has ever prayed for me the way you do.

Thank you for being such a great father…
Everyday you come home from work, Mali shouts out “DADDY!” or most days “BABE!” and I love it. To see her priceless reaction when you walk in the door is something you see in movies. You are overprotective of her. You feed her, you bathe her, you play with her,you love her. I see how she's your everything. And you're her everything.

Thank you for loving God more than you love me…
Many won't understand, and that's ok. But the way you love God and desire to seek Him and work for His kingdom is a dream come true. I know work can keep you busy and sometimes make you miss church, but when I wake up at 5am, go down to make breakfast and come back upstairs to make sure you're awake and see you down on your knees, praying… now that's what I always prayed for! A man who leads his family as best as he could with the direction and guidance of God at all times. This faith walk hasn't always been easy for you, for us. But you have keep your feet on The Foundation and I thank you for that.

Thank you for working hard, day in and day out….
Even though work can get frustrating and hectic, you keep on going. You have made sure that me, Mali, and now Naya, have everything we need. We have a roof over our heads, we eat every day, and we sleep in comfortable beds every night. You get home late most days and you still manage to take some time to spend it with your girls before bed. Nothing compares to that.

I may not say it enough, but you are the definition of the godly man I prayed for for so long. You were made for me. You are my gift from God. I love you so much and I can't thank you enough for everything you do for your little family.

Love, your wife
❤ Cynthia Cano
